Maderas Nobles de la Sierra de Segura is an
agro-forestry company specializing in native tree plantation management with the
aims of forest restoration and the ecological production of high-value
timber.
Our
plantations, available for visits at your request, are located in Spain. The
trees are owned by customers from countries across Europe.
By
purchasing our trees, planted on estates property of the company and grown
according to ecological and sustainable forestry management techniques, our
customers (corporate and individuals) become part of the
“responsARBOLidad: + trees for a better climate” campaign. The aim
of this campaign is to offsets CO2 emissions by planting trees, in
order to help reduce the impact of climate change, increase
biodiversity, and enable companies, institutions and individuals to take
their own environmental responsibility. Customers can also receive a significant
capital gain from the sale of timber produced by our hard wood
trees.
Maderas Nobles de la Sierra de
Segura will be attending the BioFach event in Nuremburg, Germany on 21-24th
February 2008, at stand 7-845.
Maderas Nobles has been attending
the leading trade fairs for ecological products in Spain and Portugal for years,
always with a large commercial presence. Our aim now is to promote the company

on the technical reports and market studies currently available. These reports
indicate volumes of timber production greater than those shown on the table and
the price increase for high quality hardwood of more than 8% a year.
The Walnut
Lot, Biodiversity Lot and Chestnut Lot are not sold as financial products; they
are agro-forestry products, and Maderas Nobles can not guarantee the final
estimated value. Maderas
Nobles guarantees the plantation of more trees than those sold to cover possible
damages, and a bank guarantee on the capital put towards the maintenance of the
trees, to ensure the plantation is properly managed during the length of the
grwoth cycle.

Responsarbolidad: + Trees
for a Better Climate is a campaign set-up
by Maderas Nobles to offset pollutant emissions and to flight against climate
change by planting trees. Responsarbolidad gives
individuals, groups, companies and institutions the opportunity to calculate
their pollutant emissions and to plant the trees necessary to absorb
them.
The trees
and shrubs of Responsarbolidad, are grown using ecological and
sustainable forestry and permaculture techniques. The trees will form a native
Mediterranean forest that will generate biomass and oxygen, fertilize the soil,
retain water and absorb large amounts of CO2 as a way to tackle
desertisation. Maderas
Nobles is committed contractually to care for and manage the tree plantations
for a period of 40
years.

Maderas Nobles was awarded Regional Prize of Castilla-La Mancha for Sustainable
Development in the category of Sustainable Environmental Management.
Certified by
Sohiscert as an ecological agriculture organisation
(DIR-OP-03-268-02-CM1667F-1), it has also been recognised with the European
Standard UNE-EN 45011 shield of excellence. Currently the company is working
with the Smart Wood Program certification agency to obtain the FSC (Forest
